TV monitoring system developed for industry production facilities

The composition of TV monitoring system developed for industry production facilities

Typical TV monitoring system is mainly composed of head-end equipment and back-end equipment. Head-end equipment is usually composed of camera, manual or electric lens, tripod head, shield, sound monitor, alarm detector and multifunctional decoder. Head-end equipment is connected with central control system via wire, antenna or optical fiber.

In actual TV monitoring and control system, these head-end equipments are not used simultaneously. But camera and lens that are responsible for field picture collection are indispensible. Back-end equipment can be further divided into central-

control equipment and sub-control equipment. There are a few ways that can be used for the combination of head-end and back-end equipment. The connection between them can be realized via able, optical fiber or microwave. TV monitoring

system is composed of camera section(microphone is also included sometimes), transmission section, control section as well as display and recording section. More specific equipment or component is included in each section. Description on functions of main equipment in each section.

Picture pick up section

Picture pick up section is the front end of whole TV monitoring system. It is the eye of whole system and is placed at a certain location within the area to be monitored. Sometimes, the area to be monitored may be quite large, in order to reduce the number of camera and simplify transmission system as well as control and display system, you can install a electric (remote controlled) zoomer on the camera, which will make the area covered by the camera be larger and the observation being made more clearer. Sometimes, in some situation, especially when the application is implemented outdoor, you can install the camera on a electric tripod head. You can make it rotate in horizontal or vertical direction. As a result, the area covered by the camera is enlarged. As for picture pick up section, a protection cover may be installed on the camera to protect it from dust,

water, high and low temperature and erosion. Even you can take some measure to protect the tripod head.

transmission section

Transmission section is an access used by system picture signals. Generally speaking, transmission section is exclusively prepared for the transmission of picture signal. But, beside picture signal, aural signal is also included in the transmission section for some systems. At the same time, control center needs perform control over camera, lens, tripod head and protection cover, so the transmission section also needs to transmit control signal. So the transmission section mentioned here means the transmission systems that can transmit all signals mentioned above.

Control section

Control section is the heart or brain of the whole system and the command center of the whole system. Control section is mainly composed of supervisory control desk (may including secondary control desk for some system). Supervisory control desk boasts functions like: amplifying and distribution of video signal; calibration and compensation for video signal, video signal switching, video (aural) signal recording, control on camera and accessories (such as lens, tripod head, and protection cover). The main task for supervisory control desk is to exercise remote control over camera, lens, tripod head and protection cover, so as to perform all-sided and detailed monitoring or tracing. The supervisory control desk is equipped with HD video recorder, with which pictures of the location where incident has occurred can be recorded, which can be used as evidence in future investigation.
